TAYA HUBBARD - ARTIST
INFORMATION
Taya is a steel sculptor
who will steel your heart. This is a unique and
unusual art form. Viewers are mesmerized by the beauty, form and
quality of her
work. She is fascinated with creating dimensional objects
in space. For over fifteen years, Taya
has been a sculptor working both in the
commercial sector and in the fine arts
realms. She was the manager of a large
art design firm for several years before
going on her own. Taya remembers that
she use to love to build things even as a
small child. She tends to be a perfection-
ist and her work shows this aspect of
her personality. Her steel sculptures are impeccable. Taya received
her B.F.A. from the University of North Dakota and pursued her M.F.A.
at
Illinois State University. She is now an Arizona sculptor who loves
and
lives to create. She would not want to do anything else, as
sculpture and her ability to create objects in space is what drives
her entire being. Painting on steel is an art form like no other and
Taya's steel sculptures portray the emotions of a life tempered in steel.
THE PROCESS:
Taya works the objects
until they are a vision of what she pictured them
in her mind. Taya works with parts, shapes and finishes until they are
just right for the particular piece of art. Steel allows Taya to utilize
the
strength of the material and develop linear forms. Her ability to etch,
scratch, color, stain and oxidize the steel sculpture provides each piece
with a unique reflection of the light. It also evokes elegant imagery
in form!

 LKG Contemporary offers each client
a free art consultation. You then choose colors and a style that will be suited
to your overall decor. You can select a design or pattern that Taya can use in a
custom metal wall art piece. You will be able to choose from a variety of
styles, colors and sizes which fit into your project. Taya can work with
you or any Interior Designer that is involved in your project. She can create your
custom art work in approximately three weeks. Taya works in Abstract and
Contemporary metal wall art in steel with acrylic finishes. Price quotes are available
for each custom piece.
