                                            AUGUST 7 - 28, 2008

Peter Kuttner LKG Contemporary is proud to introduce and

exhibit the work of Peter Kuttner. Peter earned his BFA

from Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida.
He was the former head of the graphics department at
the National Museum of American Illustration.

 Kuttner's sophisticated understanding of dimensionality
cuts across his entire body of work.  He exploits the painted
plane as a structure of and opportunity for depth by
layering textures, colors and finishes. Peter Kuttner's
portfolio includes three genres of paintings: cityscapes,
still lifes, and minimal abstractions.  His work invites us
to linger in the memory of our encounters with cities
where we have lived. His still lifes speak to the organic
respites that push against our man-made environments.
His abstractions achieve a depth through their highly textured surfaces
and many layers of compelling rich colors.  His canvases resonate with
 human experiences and relationships.

                       AN INSPIRATIONAL JOURNEY

                                           SEPTEMBER 4 - 26, 2008

Jodi Maas
Jodi's work is a journey into pure inspiration. The subtle, rich
layering and depth in her work is an invitation into a soft
ethereal mystique. Her dramatic yet tranquil essence guides
the spirit up to realms of new expansion. Spontaneous and
unexpected details delight and entertain. Whether she is
engaged in her other favorite activities of horseback riding,
yoga or volunteering to help with "at risk" children, Jodi is
always gathering compelling inspiration for her paintings.

"I want my paintings to express a deep sense of

self as the whole. I am at great peace when I paint",

 states Jodi Maas.

                      COL0R, TEXTURE AND LIGHT

                                           OCTOBER 1 - 29, 2008

Pablo Rojero

Pablo Rojero, was born in a small beach community in southern California. He studied modern painting and old master techniques at the Rhode Island School of Design. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Illustration from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, California. Pablo began his career as an illustrator on music video productions and as a storyboard artist for independent films in Los Angeles, California. He later worked as a graphic designer.  Pablo now resides in California with his lovely wife, daughter and newborn twin sons.  "I enjoy the process of painting. It is the exploration of color, texture and light that fascinates me. My experience as a classical painter gave me the foundation I needed to understand modern art and to expound on ideas in more depth," states Pablo Rojero.

THE ART OF REVERSE PAINTING ON PLEXIGLASS

                                              NOVEMBER 6 - 28, 2008

The ART OF REVERSE PAINTING ON PLEXIGLASS features work

by artist, Robert Charon. Among the most intriguing artwork in the gallery are Robert Charon's reverse paintings on plexiglass in acrylic.

hese pieces are a challenge to the viewer and an anecdote of light and dark, translucent to opaque; and abstract to realism. The plexiglass

allows for the "canvas" to be rounded. The painted landscapes and

abstract color fields are mesmerizing! Charon also does abstract

paintings in mixed media on canvas that have great texture and

creativity. Robert Charon's metal wall art is subtle yet colorful.

                                             ON FIRE

                                                   DECEMBER 4 - 31, 2008

Danian Robinson

"I often find deep inspiration in mother nature; the four
elements of being water, fire, wind and earth. These
elements are very present within the abstract forms of
my work. I feel my work has a strong connection to
nature by using ground minerals in the medium. I also
try to express a vast array of emotion in my work.
It is significant for me to create a piece of art that is
not only visually stimulating but also evokes emotion.

When I paint I live in the moment. I am consumed with
emotions and color. It's a methodical process of
 discovering the unknown," states
 Damian Robinson.
