INFORMATION
Artist,
Elise Remender
was born in Phoenix, AZ and
completed
high school here.
After high school she chose to attend the
Academy of Art University in
San Francisco, California. At
the university, she spent
her first few years specializing in
illustrations for children's literature, and her last years she
concentrated on landscapes
and portraiture
Upon graduation, she
accepted a position with an art group
in Phoenix where she worked for several years. It was at
this time that she developed
a unique style of abstract art that is both
emotional and imaginative. Her style has become a favorite with designers
and collectors alike. Her paintings of landscapes and flowers on canvas
are
beautiful and she gives the subject matter a life all its own.
As she moved forward in her
art career she returned to the Pacific Northwest
where she had attended the
Art University. After a time she moved to Astoria,
Oregon where she has built a
studio that accommodates the abstract techniques
she uses in all her work. Her floral creations and abstracts combine the
vision
of color and light that she has mastered in her paintings.
Elise
is able to
combine the warmth of
realism with the texture and emotion of an abstract
background. She constantly tries new approaches to her work and as a
result,
it is continually evolving.
Elise
has established a significant collection of art
that is rich in color,
dazzling in light and filled with emotion!!
