Brian
R ussell
draws his inspiration from the rhythm of nature, ancient
artifacts, math, science, and ultimately his inspiration.
For Brian glass and metal
represent light and nature. He creates works that will live harmoniously in the
world as independent functionaries of society. His aim is to involve
the viewer, to interject into the
world points of beauty,
interest and spontaneity. He wants
people to see his
sculptures as an excuse to
mentally shift to another level
of consciousness. A state above
the daily hubbub, and
even for a moment to reconnect
with themselves.
Brian Russell,
through his sculptures wants the viewer
to encounter an unexpected oasis in a visual desert.
On a personal level
creating sculpture is an endless
connected series of
experiments. The path is long and winding and
regardless of where it leads
Brian Russell
has decided to follow.
